Back in October we received an email from a customer who was about to embark on a 2 week program in Kenya as a volunteer nurse. She gave us some background on the trip:

"Back in 2010 a young student nurse came back from 3m volunteering with Camps International in Kenya. He raved about it to his mother who is also a nurse, a Practice Nurse, trying to get her to go too. She explained to him that with a mortgage and bills and work commitments she couldn’t take 3 months off work. However she contacted the Camps and they said if she could get a band of 20 UK nurse volunteers together they would lay on a program. She did and they went out in November 2011. She and two others have returned every year since, with newbies and returners. They work alongside Kenyan volunteers doing clinics in the bush. Some people walk as far as 8km to seek their help. Some barefoot, some with sand fleas in their feet. They just don’t know what will come through their clinics."

The group of UK staff nurses who were going over were all self funded and needed some medical supplies for the consultations while they're in Kenya. So we sent one of our reps, Adrian, along with some much needed donations!

Here are some pictures the customer sent us once she had returned from Kenya. It looks like they all did great work!
